Founder’s Week is our week-long celebration of the Founder of the University and first Rector of St. Edward's Hall, Fr. Edward Sorin, C.S.C.

The celebration is held in the fall and is a week that is jammed packed with events that celebrate our history and honor our traditions, moreover, it’s FUN. Last year’s celebration, under the direction of Kurt Roemer, the Hall’s Founder's Week Commissioner, the very first Steds Shuttlecock Showdown was held. On no less then ten badminton courts, set up on North Quad, Stedsmen battled it out for love of the game and the honor of being crowned the first ever champion of the Steds Shuttlecock Showdown.
